The Palladian Academy Trust is a community of schools, each with its own ethos, that enjoy a mutually enriching partnership. Our Trust includes both church and community academies working closely together, all connected by a shared vision for our pupils: ‘excellent and equitable opportunities so everyone can flourish.’

All about the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in creating a safe, secure, and inspiring learning environment for pupils, staff, and the wider community. You will be working closely with the Trust Estates Lead and school teams, ensuring our sites are well-maintained and operate efficiently.

•    Carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks (e.g. basic plumbing, decorating, minor repairs)
•    Respond promptly to reactive and unplanned maintenance issues
•    Conduct health & safety checks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
•    Oversee and liaise with external contractors, ensuring adherence to RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
•    Support Trust-wide estates projects, compliance tasks, and site improvements
•    Cover absence and provide support across other Trust schools where required
•    Utilise school holiday periods to complete planned maintenance and improvement works

We are looking for someone who is:

•    Experienced in site maintenance, caretaking, or facilities management
•    Knowledgeable in health & safety and building compliance requirements
•    Skilled in a range of practical DIY tasks
•    Highly organised, able to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
•    A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
•    Calm and effective in emergency situations
•    Trustworthy, discreet, and able to handle confidential information
•    Professional, reliable, and committed to high standards
•    Emotionally intelligent, with the ability to manage sensitive situations appropriately

Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
