SUMMARY
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of complex program elements (four or more staff members) including supervision of staff, program development, and program administration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Communicates and coordinates with public schools
•Oversees any school specific contracts
•Provides quality service to clients with timely and accurate processing of paperwork
•Monitors ongoing program development by assessing clients’ needs and referral sources
•Evaluates program effectiveness, reviewing statistical data, caseloads, and staff performance
•Assists with training staff in MyAvatar (Electronic Medical Records) use
•Assists in the development and implementation of programmatic goals and objectives
•Networks with available resources for the development of new collaborative ventures
•Supervises staff making recommendations concerning pay increases, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, hiring and firing; defines workloads with attention given to setting priorities and monitoring progress
•Completes and assures completion by staff of all necessary paperwork, progress notes, special reports, and statistical data; meets quality management requirements
•Maintains safe environment for clients and co-workers by constant follow-up and communication with all agencies involved with treatment or service to client
•Attends school meetings or Team meetings, as required
•Maintains a positive working relationship with the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS)
•Assures compliance with contractual agencies or legal requirements of program
•Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn agency policy, rules, regulations, and procedures; participates in on-going in-service training as well as pertinent external training
•Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
•Acts as role model in interpersonal relationships with staff and clients
•Supports and assists with the facilitation of Care Plans for consumers within the Red Rock Health Team
•Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
•Experience working with community resources
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Experience working with low income and minority clients with understanding of cultural diversity
•Must complete all in-service training requirements as well as special certification, or external training
•One year of supervisory experience preferred
•One year of direct experience in Behavioral Health preferred
•Appropriate licensure/certification with three or more years directly related experience in mental health environment preferred
