Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys helping patients navigate their healthcare journey? Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our busy Vascular Surgery practice. In this essential role, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for patients and collaborate with multiple healthcare teams to ensure seamless scheduling and exceptional patient care.

As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will:

  • Schedule patient appointments, procedures, testing, and surgeries both in person and over the phone.
  • Coordinate surgical procedures with physicians, hospitals, and specialty providers, including combined cases with Plastic Surgery.
  • Work collaboratively with departments such as Nurse Navigation, Genetics, Oncology, Surgery Scheduling, Plastic Surgery, and Radiology.
  • Ensure patient medical records are updated accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate scheduling details clearly with patients, providers, and healthcare teams.
  • Scan and upload patient records into OnBase.
  • Obtain insurance authorizations for procedures and services.
  • Perform additional administrative and clerical duties to support the practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three years of clerical experience in a physician office or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with medical office software and scheduling applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities.
