Latrobe Specialty Metals Distribution (LSD) – part of the Carpenter Technology Corporation organization, serves North America’s tooling customers with the broadest range of products, the most extensive value-added services, and unmatched metallurgical expertise in the industry. With locations in the US and Canada, LSD inventories more than 60 specialty alloys for some of the most demanding applications. Extensive value-added capabilities include production sawing, CNC high-speed precision sawing, CNC lathe turning, milling, grinding, heat treating, and hollow boring.
SCHEDULER
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Schedule Carpenter Brand orders for manufacturing sites.
- Respond to quoting requests for customer inquiries and schedule basic orders within the assigned product area.
- Complete order changes for items such as expedite requests, order deferrals, weight changes and open order changes based on manufacturing lineup changes.
- Develop revised schedules for only basic orders with assistance.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- 0 - 2 years experience in a manufacturing/order entry, scheduling and planning position.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to operate a computer workstation.
- Ability to quote and schedule a limited range of orders within the assigned product area.
- Ability to perform work that is largely routine and established scheduling guidelines and procedures are used.
- Ability to develop revised schedules for a limited range of orders.
- Ability to perform work under moderate supervision.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
