Leads nondestructive testing engineering, including interpreting specifications, writing procedures, qualifying and certifying NDT personnel, supporting technicians, and improving UT and ET processes. Manages audits, customer technical inquiries, equipment implementation, calibration, preventive maintenance, documentation, and statistical process controls. Works on the factory floor to troubleshoot issues, improve product quality, and collaborate with metallurgists on process capability and corrective actions.

Leads nondestructive testing quality improvement, process control, audits, personnel qualification, training, calibration, documentation, and complex inspection methods. Directs cross-functional projects to improve first-time-through performance, equipment effectiveness, process capability, and customer satisfaction. Mentors NDT personnel, reviews customer specifications, oversees NDT procedures and certifications, and applies SPC, FMEA, Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous-improvement methods in a manufacturing environment.

Installs, repairs, and maintains refractory linings, castings, thermal barriers, and hot boxes across a manufacturing plant. Troubleshoots furnace issues, interprets blueprints and schematics, cuts and mixes refractory materials, constructs furnace components, handles materials with mobile equipment, and performs related structural modifications. The role requires safe work at heights, flexible shift availability, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.

Supports the Process Technology R&D team through supplier and vendor coordination, equipment and component procurement, CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation. Assists with designing, fabricating, and installing structural, mechanical, and electrical systems. Reviews and interprets customer, industry, and internal material specifications covering chemistry, mechanical properties, structural characteristics, and non-destructive testing. Evaluates manufacturing capability, abstracts requirements into electronic systems, maintains specification revisions, drafts exception letters, and coordinates technical reviews across Quality, Metallurgy, Manufacturing, Legal, and customer teams. The role supports audits, quality-system compliance, continuous improvement, training, KPI performance, and resolution of specification and compliance issues.
