As a SCADA Analyst IV, you will support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of SCADA and production control systems that enable real-time monitoring and operations across Williams' upstream assets. In this role, you will serve as a technical resource for SCADA applications, field communications, historian platforms, and enterprise data integration, helping ensure the availability and accuracy of operational data. A typical day includes administering and troubleshooting control system technologies, supporting field connectivity, validating production data, and implementing system enhancements through established change management processes. You will contribute to initiatives that strengthen system reliability, improve data quality, and enhance operational efficiency while supporting project execution and technology modernization efforts. 

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Solves complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative SCADA solutions

  • Provides technical leadership within a wider team; mentors other team members

  • Ensures projects are completed on schedule

  • Analyzes requirements and develops short and long-term SCADA solutions to meet business needs

  • Coordinates with internal users and external customers to understand SCADA requirements and provide appropriate SCADA solutions

  • Recommends SCADA solutions based on business requirements within an enterprise organization

  • Serves as the technical lead and subject matter expert for upstream SCADA systems, providing oversight for system architecture, administration, optimization, and long-term support

  • Develops and maintains production data solutions, including SQL Server databases, reporting structures, historian technologies, and associated enterprise integrations

  • Leads the integration and support of field devices, control systems, and communication technologies to ensure reliable data acquisition, connectivity, and operational performance across upstream assets

  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives and SCADA-related projects through planning, implementation, commissioning, and operational support, with a focus on system reliability, alarm management, data quality, and operational efficiency

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree, a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in a SCADA or team leadership role and experience with ClearSCADA, AutoSol, Kepware and OPC protocol

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

  • Needs basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

  • Demonstrates knowledge of network operations and telecommunications

  • Possesses extensive SQL experience and capabilities

  • Possesses demonstrable understanding of various Flow Computer Protocols

  • Experience in the energy industry

  • Preferred: Windows programming experience (Python, VBScript, Ladder Logic)

  • Preferred: Experience in database development and management
