This position is intended for developing SBA business development professionals who are building referral networks, industry expertise, and production capabilities. Portfolio size and production expectations are generally lower than senior-level SBA Business Development Officers. Performance is measured through production, pipeline development, referral source activity, loan quality, customer experience, and compliance metrics.
Sources SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and other government-guaranteed lending opportunities in compliance with SBA regulations, bank policies, and sound lending practices. Develops referral relationships, generates new business opportunities, and works collaboratively with Relationship Managers (RMs), Credit Administration, Underwriting, Closing, Servicing, and Operations teams to deliver financing solutions that support small business growth.
What You’ll Do- Generate SBA lending opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and internal partnerships.
- Partner with Relationship Managers to identify SBA opportunities.
- Conduct joint sales calls and provide SBA expertise.
- Structure financing requests and preparing complete loan submissions.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and advance opportunities through the lending cycle.
- Maintain compliance with SBA regulations and Bank policy.
