Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with expertise in Java 8 and above, Microservices, RESTful Web Services, and search technologies such as Elasticsearch and Solr. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance Java applications, building scalable microservices, and implementing search functionalities.
Your Role Responsibilities and Duties:
• Develop and Maintain APIs: Design, implement, and sustain RESTful Web Services APIs and algorithms using Java 8 and above.
• Documentation: Produce comprehensive and detailed design and development documentation.
• Collaborative Feature Delivery: Work closely with team members to deliver features on schedule, adapting to changing requirements and strategic shifts.
• Agile Methodology: Be familiar and comfortable working within an Agile/Scrum software development framework.
• Code Reviews and Collaboration: Participate in code reviews and coordinate with other teams to create and enhance peer designs.
• Cross-functional Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with internal partner engineering teams within a well-adapted agile environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science with minimum 5 years of experience in Java V8+, developing web server applications with a focus on object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Experience in building high-performance, cloud-based, scalable web services, and modern web services architecture and API frameworks.
• Proficiency in requirement gathering, secure and scalable code development, unit testing, code reviews, and documentation using open-source technology stacks.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot microservices, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, REST, Java Web Services, JMS, XML, JSON, and messaging techniques.
• At least 4+ years of experience with highly scalable microservices.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in debugging, configuring, and tuning application servers, JVM, OS, and databases.
• Proficiency with NoSQL/SQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Redis, Couchbase, Aurora, MySQL). • Experience with AWS and knowledge of AWS cloud APIs like RDS, DynamoDB, S3.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, SNS/SQS.
• Proficient in agile development, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Git, Artifactory, and JIRA.
• Ability to manage parallel tasks and document resolutions effectively.

Skills Required

- Proficiency with Git and issue tracking (JIRA)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and participation in code reviews
- Ability to produce design and development documentation and manage parallel tasks
