This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a SAP TMS Functional Engineer in Panama City, Panama with Signify, the world leader in lighting.
Signify is amid the design, build and deployment of a global greenfield S/4HANA solution. To support the deployment and ensure stable operations and continuous optimization, we are establishing a global application maintenance organization.
The SAP TM Functional Engineer is responsible for operational support in S/4 HANA deployments and supporting and optimizing SAP Transportation Management solutions in a post go-live application maintenance environment. Collaborates within a global team and works closely with business stakeholders, partners and cross-functional teams to ensure stable, compliant and efficient transportation processes. The role focuses on functional support, issue resolution, system stability and operational effectiveness.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Support Logistics Business Process Owners, key users, and project teams in maintaining SAP TM solutions aligned with the global template in the legacy ECC system, while deploying the global S/4HANA implementation at a local level.
- Provide functional support across core transportation processes including Order Management, Transportation Planning, Freight Execution, Charge Calculation and Freight Settlement.
- Provide end-to-end functional support in an AMS environment including incident management, service requests, defect resolution and root cause analysis in line with agreed service levels.
- Conduct impact analysis and testing to support quality delivery of changes and enhancements.
- Support transportation processes with strong integration across Sales, Procurement, Warehousing and Finance domains.
- Monitor system health including XML failures, IDocs, queues and related interface elements to ensure stable and efficient day-to-day transportation operations.
- Support critical transportation operations including domestic and international shipments, ensuring continuity and timely issue resolution.
- Provide user support, functional guidance and knowledge sharing to enable consistent adoption and operational effectiveness.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in SAP TM implementation, rollouts and/or support. Strong functional understanding of SAP TM processes including Order Management, Freight Planning, Freight Execution, Charge Management and Settlement.
- Experience working in a global application maintenance support or production support environment including stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. Including system enhancements, incident resolution, problem management, testing and delivery of supportable business solutions and supporting critical transportation operations including high-volume shipment execution.
- Good understanding of integration points between SAP TM and adjacent business domains including Sales, Procurement, Warehousing and Finance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- SAP TM certification is an advantage. Knowledge of BN4L and technical frameworks such as BOPF and BRF plus is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, complex and highly integrated business environment.
- Fluent English is required, Spanish, and Portuguese preferred.
Position is to be based in Panama City, Panama - open to consider candidates from all Latin America region willing to relocate.
