About Us
Accuris was formed in May 2023 through the combination of S&P Engineering Solutions (formerly part of IHS Markit) and Techstreet, bringing together over six decades of leadership in engineering standards, technical content, and workflow technology.
Accuris transforms the world's largest repository of standards and supply chain data into AI-driven insights and connected workflows - enabling engineers to work smarter, stay compliant, and innovate faster.
About the Role
Accuris is looking for a service-minded SAP Solution Architect to join our global SAP-IT organization supporting our SAP environment (ECC6 HANA, RISE on AWS). This role supports multiple business areas including Finance/Controlling, Order Management (FI/CO/SD/MM), Product and Customer Master, and IS-Media, and is both strategic and hands-on as we mature our SAP practices.
As a key contributor and product owner, you will design, implement, test, and deploy scalable solutions across the SAP ecosystem, working closely with global teams including Finance, Client Support, Contract Management, Product, and Legal to deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced, innovative, and service-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the full systems development lifecycle - from requirements gathering through design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions across FI/CO/SD/MM, including ABAP development and integrations (APIs, IDocs, middleware such as SAP BTP/CPI) between SAP and non-SAP enterprise applications.
- Take ownership of system maintenance (BASIS) tasks such as system refreshes and client copies, Note application, certificate management, job scheduling, system monitoring and performance tuning, and managing user access and security in SAP.
- Partner with business leadership and stakeholders to shape new initiatives, ensure clear requirements and sound solution strategies aligned with business goals and SAP standard functionality, and project-manage implementation of new features.
- Define the test strategy and standards for SAP changes across modules and integration points; document test cases and lead end-to-end, system integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing, including creation and management of test data.
- Diagnose, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, collaborating with business and development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain detailed system architecture documentation, provide status reporting to project teams and stakeholders, and stay current with SAP updates and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Degree in finance, computer science, engineering, or similar, with a background in the financial management of order processes; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP development and configuration experience, with strong knowledge of SAP architecture, Finance/Controlling, Order Management (FI/CO/SD/MM) on ECC 6.0, BASIS, system upgrades, and data infrastructure.
- Hands-on ABAP development experience (reports, enhancements, interfaces, debugging) and experience building integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems (APIs, IDocs, middleware such as SAP BTP/CPI).
- Experience leading change management for a system implementation, migration, or platform upgrade such as S/4HANA.
- Preferred: SAP certifications, S/4HANA project exposure, and familiarity with integrated platforms such as Salesforce, OneStream, Snowflake, and Vertex.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong business analysis, process mapping, and business process redesign skills, with a focus on promoting process best practices.
- Service-minded and collaborative, working effectively with cross-functional global teams and stakeholders.
- Effective project management and change management skills across the full implementation lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, and support.
- Ability to translate business process requirements into SAP configuration and sound, scalable solution strategies.
