About the Role
DXC Technology is seeking a seasoned SAP Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation engagements across UK enterprise clients. This is a senior delivery leadership role, responsible for program execution, client engagement, risk governance, and team leadership across DXC and client stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing SAP programs (£5–20M), hybrid delivery teams, and complex stakeholder landscapes in a consulting environment. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and relationship management — ensuring DXC delivers with quality, agility, and commercial control.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA programs – from mobilization and blueprint through to cutover and post go-live support.
Serve as single point of accountability for delivery across functional, technical, data, integration, testing, and change workstreams.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders – including CIOs, Programme Directors, Business Sponsors, and PMO Leads.
Oversee program financials – including budget tracking, resource planning, change requests, and profitability.
Lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore locations, ensuring high collaboration and governance adherence.
Chair steering committees, status reviews, and program governance forums – ensuring visibility, transparency, and proactive risk management.
Ensure alignment to delivery frameworks (SAP Activate, DXC standards), agile/waterfall models, and contract compliance (SOWs, MSAs).
Contribute to pre-sales and new business by shaping delivery plans, estimates, and client engagement strategies for SAP pursuits.
Required Experience
12+ years in SAP program delivery, with at least 5 years as Program Manager / Delivery Lead for complex SAP S/4HANA implementations.
Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA transformations – greenfield, brownfield, or selective migration.
Delivered at least 2 large-scale programs (>£15M TCV) involving multi-workstream orchestration, global stakeholders, and phased go-lives.
Familiarity with cross-functional SAP landscapes – Finance, Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement, Data, Testing.
Strong track record of managing distributed delivery teams and delivery risk in client-facing roles.
Leadership & Delivery Skills
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and issue resolution skills.
Able to lead steering meetings, present program health, and manage executive-level escalations.
Commercial acumen to manage scope, change control, and internal margin/profit targets.
Collaborative leadership style – focused on building high-performing teams and nurturing client trust.
Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to ambiguity in large enterprise environments.
Stakeholder & Soft Skills
Strong engagement skills with manufacturing stakeholders: Heads of Production, Plant Managers, and COOs.
Ability to translate complex operational processes into streamlined SAP-enabled solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills – with comfort in C-level discussions.
Experience managing diverse teams, mentoring junior consultants, and driving delivery excellence.
Methodologies & Tools
Experienced in SAP Activate, SAP Solution Manager, and agile/hybrid delivery models.
Skilled with delivery tracking tools – JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, or equivalent.
Exposure to PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent program management frameworks.
Familiarity with managed services transitions, cutover/runbook design, and AMS handover is a plus.
Qualifications & Certifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Engineering, Business, or relevant field.
PMP / PRINCE2 / MSP certification strongly preferred.
SAP certifications (e.g., Activate Project Manager, Solution Architect) are an advantage.
