We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Consultant to design, configure, and implement SAP Materials Management solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand supply chain requirements, optimize procurement and inventory processes, and deliver end-to-end SAP implementations or enhancements.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- BUSINESS BLUEPRINTING: Gather and analyze business requirements, map them to SAP MM processes, and author functional specifications.
- CONFIGURATION: Design and configure Enterprise Structure, Purchasing (MM-PUR), Inventory Management (MM-IM), Valuation and Account Assignment, and Invoice Verification (MM-IV).
- INTEGRATION: Ensure seamless data flow and integration between SAP MM and other modules like FI/CO (Finance/Controlling), PP (Production Planning), and SD (Sales and Distribution).
- TESTING & DEPLOYMENT: Lead Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Manage data migration activities using LSMW or LTMC.
- SUPPORT & TRAINING: Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot complex system issues, and conduct training sessions for end-users.

1. CORE FUNCTIONAL SKILLS (PROCUREMENT & INVENTORY)
- PROCUREMENT PROCESSES: Deep knowledge of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (PTP) cycle, including Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Outline Agreements (Contracts/Scheduling Agreements).
- MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT: Expert understanding of Material Master, Vendor Master (Business Partner in S/4HANA), Purchase Info Records, and Source Lists.
- INVENTORY & WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT: Mastery of Goods Movements (Receipts, Issues, Transfers), Movement Types, Physical Inventory processes, and basic Warehouse Management (WM) integration.
- SPECIAL PROCUREMENT: Experience configuring special processes like Subcontracting, Consignment, Third-Party procurement, and Pipeline handling.
- VALUATION & ACCOUNT DETERMINATION: Solid grasp of automatic account assignment configuration (FI-MM integration via OBYC), split valuation, and material price controls (Standard vs. Moving Average).
2. TECHNICAL & SYSTEM SKILLS:
- S/4HANA EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA (Sourcing and Procurement), understanding the differences from ECC (e.g., Business Partner concept, simplified data models).
- DATA MIGRATION TOOLS: Practical experience using LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) or LTMC / Migration Cockpit for uploading legacy data.
- DEBUGGING & ABAP BASICS: Ability to read basic ABAP code, debug standard/custom programs, and understand BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and EDI/IDocs for system integration.
- REPORTING: Familiarity with standard SAP reports, queries, and SAP Fiori apps.
3. PROFESSIONAL & SOFT SKILLS:
- ANALYTICAL THINKING: Strong problem-solving skills to translate complex business problems into structured SAP solutions.
- COMMUNICATION: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant (minimum 1–2 end-to-end lifecycles or major migration projects preferred).
- Certification: SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement (Highly Preferred).
