The SAP Finance Lead Analyst is a senior expert responsible for providing business and technical expertise and leadership in designing, implementing, and supporting new financial capabilities and solutions in our SAP S/4HANA Finance landscape. This includes Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO), Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM), Project System and SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) and OpenText VIM. The role leverages SAP Best Practices to optimize and continuously improve finance-related business processes while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Lead analyst works closely with Finance stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable, integrated solutions that drive financial efficiency, integrity, innovation and excellence in Finance Operations. In essence, this position functions as a finance solution architect with a proven track record of successful SAP finance transformations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Design, configure, document, test, deliver and support solutions within S/4 HANA Finance, Controlling, Project System and Financial Supply Chain Management, RAR – Revenue Accounting and Reporting solutions (i.e. GL, AR, AP, AA, Banking, Tax,  CCA, IO, PCA, COPA, Product Costing) and OpenText VIM to meet business requirements. Guide the development of multi-year SAP roadmap plans and architectural decisions aligned with business strategy.
  • Functional Specifications & Testing: Design and create clear functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms. Conduct thorough system and integration testing; facilitate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and end-user training to ensure high-quality deliverables and smooth deployments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Finance business teams and various business functions, diverse group of Subject Matter Experts, and IT partners to ensure end-to-end process integration. Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Supply Chain, IT developers) to ensure finance solutions seamlessly integrate with other SAP modules and external systems.
  • Support & Continuous Improvement: Provide expert-level operational support for S/4HANA Finance solutions, promptly resolving incidents and addressing root causes to minimize business disruption. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, system optimization, and adoption of new S/4HANA Finance features to drive efficiency and innovation in financial operations.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all finance solution designs and configurations adhere to corporate IT governance standards, financial controls (e.g. SOX Compliance), and change management procedures. Maintain thorough documentation for solutions and configurations and champion SAP best practices to maintain data integrity and audit readiness across financial systems.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant business disciplines. (An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.)
  • SAP Experience: Minimum 15 years of SAP configuration experience across SAP FICO, PS, FSCM, RAR modules with strong cross-functional integration skills.
  • Experience in at least 5 full life-cycle implementations of SAP Finance and Project System solutions, including S/4 HANA projects, in a global/multinational environment. Proficiency in custom development techniques, experience with SAP integration to third party solutions. Broad SAP skill set beyond core FICO/PS. Expert-level competency in integrating with logistics modules SD, MM, PP
  • Business Engagement & Project Management: Demonstrated ability to engage with the business to gather business requirements and clearly translate into IT specifications, conduct Fit/Gap Analysis and manage project effectively. Strong Project Management skills are required.
  • Support & Compliance Experience: Experience in problem/incident management and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and full lifecycle system support. Experience working in SOX-compliant environments and adhering to change management processes.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment. Prioritizing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently, lead multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
