Provides analytical, design, configuration, testing, documentation, and support activities for SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and related SAP-based supply chain planning processes. Utilizes deep system and process knowledge in Demand Planning, Sales & Operations Planning, and Supply & Response processes to align business requirements with technical solutions across integrated SAP landscapes.
- Analyses supply chain planning and business problems to be solved with SAP IBP and
- integrated SAP ERP systems. Identifies gaps, evaluates solution alternatives, and translates
- business requirements into functional and technical system specifications for SAP IBP (e.g.
- Demand Planning, S&OP, Response & Supply).
- Configures SAP IBP system settings and planning models; plans and execute unit, integration,
- operational qualification (OQ), and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet
- defined business and quality requirements.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for SAP IBP and related SAP SCM solutions.
- Works closely with global business units to enhance, standardize, and optimize end-to-end
- supply chain planning processes through system-supported solutions.
- Contributes to solution and process design by creating detailed functional specifications,
- configuration documentation, and process descriptions, covering data models, planning logic,
- interfaces, and end-to-end process flows.
- Participates in international template and rollout projects for SAP IBP, including:
- Establishing rollout and deployment concepts.Supporting solution build, testing, and validation activities.
- Executing, fine-tuning, and documenting processes during the project lifecycle.
- Supporting handover to operations and providing post go-live support as required.
- Analyses and documents functional requirements, business processes, and data flows; determines priorities and dependencies for enhancements and project deliverables.
- Leads development activities for assigned sub-projects, including:
- Gathering and validating requirements through structured workshops and stakeholder interviews
- Drafting, reviewing, and obtaining approval for business and functional requirement documents
- Providing guidance for system integration testing and data validation
- Supporting quality assurance, functional, and end-to-end testing activities
- Providing regular project status updates to management and stakeholders
- Works on problems of diverse and complex scope requiring in-depth analysis of planning data, system behavior, and process impacts. Demonstrates sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods, tools, and solutions
- Collaborates with senior internal and external partners within the SAP IBP and supply chain domain
- May provide guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentoring to less experienced team members in Supply Chain Planning processes, system configuration, and solution design
- Escalates critical issues, risks, or dependencies to the supervisor or project management as appropriate
- Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Assists with SAP IBP-related projects, enhancements, and support activities as assigned by the direct supervisor
- May manage Supply Chain Planning related projects or sub-projects independently with limited supervision
- Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding functional design, system configuration, and integration approach within SAP IBP and S/4 Hana system landscapes
- Frequently operates in an international and partially ambiguous project environment
- Interacts with internal stakeholders across global supply chain, IT, and management functions, as well as external partners such as IT service providers and SAP consultants.
- Influences internal and external stakeholders with differing priorities to achieve project objectives, system stability, and process improvements within the area of responsibility
- Enhances and optimizes existing SAP IBP solutions, methods, and planning processes
- Addresses complex system and process challenges and contributes to continuous improvement of supply chain planning capabilities
Education: BS in Informatics / Economics / Business informatics. Advanced Degree preferred.
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of related experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, IT, SAP
- consulting, or SAP application support.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with SAP IBP, SAP APO, SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or
- comparable planning systems is beneficial. Practical experience in material requirements
- calculation and analysis
- Experience in working on SAP template rollout projects in an international environment
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning Processes (e.g. Demand Planning, S&OP and Response&Suppy)
- Project Management Skills
- Agile Project Management Methods such as SCRUM
- End-to-end process understanding across integrated SAP landscapes
- Knowledge of SAP IBP modules and their integration with SAP ERP systems such as S/4 Hana
- Experience with SAP CI/DS, CI and RTI
- Fluent in English, Spanish/German a plus
- Willingness to travel
