For our new FSI Unit (SAP Fioneer) emerging from a strategic partnership with SAP, we are looking for dynamic new colleagues to build up and develop our financial solutions for the next generation‘s banking and insurance industry.

SAP Fioneer will use its agility to build a modern, cloud-focused FSI specific portfolio. The company will offer solutions to financial service providers tailored to address their needs and that cover their operative processes end-to-end. This will help banks, insurers and other corporations to lower the need for home-grown solutions to enable new business models achieving rapid innovation, low IT cost and getting to a simplified operating model.
The financial services development team is a global and is spread across 3 different continents. In the teams, we follow the SCRUM method and practice an agile and trust-based working model. As an integral member of the team in Bangalore, India, you will be working as a fully contributing team member committed to a robust product with high quality.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a Developer you will be a team member in our cross-functional SCRUM team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for developing very high-quality software with your team.
Expectations:
- Demonstrate excellent development, quality & delivery skills in scrum teams, working in short development and release cycles.
- Work with geographically distributed teams seamlessly.
- Exhibit learning agility by quickly upskilling on new tasks and concepts.
- Follow agile software engineering methods and develop software including coding, testing, quality assurance, and documentation.
Tasks:
Your tasks depend on the current backlog in each sprint and comprise the following activities:
- You will write design documents for new software features and review them with your scrum team.
- You will develop according to the reviewed design and carry out developer tests.
- You will test the new software and correct it during the internal test phase (functional integration test)
- You will correct issues in the software during customer tests (solution acceptance test)
- You will analyse and solve (complex) issues in existing and new code.
WORK EXPERIENCE
You must have
- 2 to 5 yearsof relevant experience
- Strong knowledge (3+ years) of development in ABAP
- Experience in SAP application development
- Experience on SAP CDS and SAP Hana
- Exposure to debugging, troubleshooting with knowledge in specific areas such as performance tuning
- Experience with agile practices in software development
Great if you have
- Knowledge of Policy Based Technology (PBT), In-Force Business Configurator, Check and Derive
- Knowledge of Business Transactions and Time Model Functions, Correspondence Management, and Accounting Component.
- Knowledge of integration with Product Engines (msg.PM and/ or SAP FS-PRO), SAP FS-PQM (Product Quotation and Underwriting)
- Knowledge of services provided by standard SAP FS-PM
- Knowledge of Business Model and Entity Models provided by SAP FS-PM.
- Understanding of the Integration with various SAP S4I modules like FS-CM, FS-CD
- Experience in insurance domain
- Exposure to ABAP OO
- Exposure to ABAP RAP and SAP cloud technologies such as BTP and Kubernetes
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable qualification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- An excellent understanding of data structures & algorithms
- Understand the concepts of functional and object-oriented paradigms
