Job Description

The primary role for the IT Solution Analyst – SAP-RTR will be to participate in the  implementation, functional support, maintenance, enhancement, and process improvement of financial business applications and systems primarily related to SAP FI/CO Modules, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Project System, Product Costing and Profitability.  This person will be participating in cross-functional teams representing and supporting Finance functions in projects requiring multiple teams to work together.  This position will collaborate with business functional areas, IT colleagues, external partners, and other stakeholders to identify business and system requirements, assess available technologies, and evaluate solution options.

This position is expected to have a broad knowledge of information technology culture, procedures, and experience with IT methodologies including project management techniques, problem resolution and end-user training.  Will interact with stakeholders and other experts to troubleshoot and resolve system problems.  This position will provide full life-cycle support, as well as authoring documentation, including operating procedures, functional and technical design specifications, and support documentation.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Works with the business architect and other planners to assess current system capabilities and identify high-level customer requirements
  • Participates in transitioning the requirements and use cases to developers, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
  • Translates requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for functionality, performance, and user acceptance testing
  • Participates in quality reviews, including management and peer level, as outlined in the verification and validation overview, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements
  • Serves as a liaison to the business community. Participates in user and task analysis to maintain the business community's perspective
  • Serves as a resource for the Change Readiness Architects as they evaluate training and support needs, design the training and support products
  • Participates in the to-be business processes design and re-engineering. Defines detailed functional requirements
  • Sets up and maintains the requirements traceability matrix for the functional area
  • Works with the team leadership, architects, and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for the application
  • Has in-depth knowledge and experience in own discipline
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Contributes to process improvements
  • Often leads the work of project teams; may formally mentor and train junior staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in Information Technology or relevant business experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in SAP FI/CO functional area design, build, test and implementation with complimentary experience completing full cycle SAP implementations, or upgrades
  • Expert knowledge of minimum three FI/CO Modules, Intermediate knowledge of all FI/CO Modules
  • Knowledge of SAP Integrations of Finance and other Modules e.g. Sales, Purchasing, Logistics and Manufacturing
  • Proven track record of working on high performance teams
  • Ability to analyze and design business processes
  • Ability to develop product requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources including analysis of results and feedback from the user community
  • Ability to develop test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements
  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards
  • Ability to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
  • Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
