Job Description
SAP BW / SAP Datasphere Development:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data warehouse solutions using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere.
- Develop and maintain SAP Datasphere objects including Graphical Views, SQL Views, Analytical Models, Dimension Views, and Fact Views.
- Design and develop SAP BW objects including ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, InfoObjects, Transformations, DTPs, and BW Queries.
- Develop and optimize SQL-based data transformations and data models.
- Build and maintain Replication Flows and Transformation Flows for data integration.
- Integrate SAP BW/Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP ECC, and other SAP/non-SAP data sources.
Technical Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in solution design discussions and provide technical recommendations.
- Accurately estimate project effort and support project planning activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.
Project Execution and Quality Assurance:
- Deliver SAP BW and Datasphere development following SAP Activate/Agile methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to development standards, governance, transport management, and quality assurance processes.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and production deployments.
- Optimize BW queries, Datasphere models, and SQL performance for scalability and efficiency.
Problem Resolution, Knowledge Sharing, and Business Process Expertise:
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP BW, Datasphere, and data integration.
- Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and performance tuning activities.
- Deliver technical documentation, knowledge transfer sessions, and user support.
- Demonstrate business process knowledge across Finance, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, and Supply Chain reporting.
- Stay updated with SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) innovations.
Cloud and Innovation:
- Design cloud-based data warehouse and analytics solutions using SAP Datasphere.
- Collaborate with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Integration Suite (CPI) teams to enable end-to-end reporting solutions.
- Evaluate and adopt new SAP Datasphere capabilities, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), and modern SAP analytics technologies.
Skills Required
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience
- Experience developing SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere solutions
- Experience with SAP Datasphere objects, SAP BW objects, SQL transformations, data models, replication flows, and transformation flows
- Experience integrating SAP BW/Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP ECC, and other data sources
- Experience with SAP Activate or Agile methodologies, testing, deployments, governance, and quality assurance
