The Role
Dematic/KION is looking for an SAP ABAP Developer responsible for managing the technical developments of the SAP Systems.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, your proven track record will enable you to deliver against the following key performance areas:
- Develop SAP objects like OData, CDS views, CE functions and SQL scripts using Eclipse.
- Responsible for developing inbound and outbound interfaces to/from the cloud to On-Premises and Cloud instances of SAP Products.
- Responsible for understanding various integration adapters in SAP CPI (SFSF, ODATA, SFTP, IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, REST Adapters) to exchange messages between sender and receiver.
- Analyzes business/ functional requirements and prepares development project schedule, tasks, and estimates.
- Support the application development efforts, unit testing, create technical specifications, conduct code review, create, and manage transports across SAP Systems.
- Performs technical design and documents technical specifications. Ensures compliance of developed solution to underlying solution architecture.
- Develop test plans and automated scripts to assure expected performance quality levels meet standards in development efforts. Analyze root cause and provide solutions for production and development issues.
- Ensure best practices are followed and required processes and specifications are documented.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar field.
- 5+ years of SAP experience as an SAP ECC ABAP Developer, 2+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience.
- At least 2 SAP end-to-end implementation experience and SAP ECC and S/4HANA. implementation / conversion experience
- Proficient with Traditional ABAP WRICEFs and working with SAP Web IDE, Eclipse IDE, ADT
- Integrate SAP with SAP middleware using IDocs, remote function modules, web services or ABAP proxies.
- Experience working with Native SQL, CDS, AMDP, ALV on ECC & HANA, Adobe Forms, RF screen Programming, CDS views, CE functions and SQL scripts.
- Experience in SQL Trace SAP Run time analysis Debugging ABAP Query Info Sets
- Knowledge of ABAP Object-Oriented Programming.
- Experience in handling different data conversions like JSON to XML, CSV to XML, etc.
- Desired experience with EDI integrations, API management.
- Knowledge of implementation project life cycles including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over and go-live support.
- Proficient using Project Management tools (JIRA), preparing, and presenting appropriate status reports.
- Strong communication skills (English required C1/C2).
- Resume/CV must be submitted in English.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% internationally.
