The Role
Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare and finish parts, run and test media/specimens, perform basic preventative maintenance, coordinate production schedules with customer service, and address production issues to meet customer requirements.

Rate of Pay
$19.00-$20.00 per hour
 

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.

Skills Required

  • Operate sandblasting and related surface preparation machinery
  • Perform daily tests to determine size and shape of media and run test specimens for customers
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and submit maintenance requests
  • Coordinate projects and communicate recovery/completion dates with customer service
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses
  • Able to work in hot shop conditions (can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit)

  • Ability to lift and carry weights frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
