Role Overview
The Salesforce Solution Designer – Field Service is
responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering Salesforce Field Service
solutions that align with business and technical requirements. This role works
closely with delivery teams across the full Software Development Life Cycle
(SDLC), ensuring high‑quality architecture, documentation, and integrations
while supporting Agile delivery in a public‑sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure
and customize Salesforce Field Service to meet defined business
requirements
- Produce
architectural deliverables, technical requirements, and solution designs
- Design
and implement integrations between Salesforce and external applications
using web services
- Document
business processes, technical designs, and architectural artifacts
- Collaborate
with IT professionals throughout the SDLC
- Report
progress on deliverables and proactively identify risks or issues
- Manage
user stories and issues using DevOps tools
- Support
Agile/Scrum delivery and sprint activities
- Perform
fit‑gap analysis against Salesforce Field Service capabilities
- Design,
develop, implement, configure, maintain, and administer solutions on the
Salesforce Lightning platform
- Build
and support CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments
- Ensure
adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Support
knowledge transfer activities throughout the assignment

Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience
delivering Salesforce Field Service solutions
- Experience
completing architectural and technical documentation
- Public
sector experience within the Ontario Public Service (OPS)

- Salesforce
APIs, SOQL, SOSL, data loaders
- REST/SOAP
integrations, authentication, and SSO
- Strong
understanding of Salesforce security models (roles, profiles, sharing
rules)
- Experience
with CI/CD tools such as Salesforce DX, Jenkins, ANT, GitLab
- Experience
migrating changes across environments
- Experience
implementing accessibility‑compliant solutions
