The Mission Driver Enablement Center (MDEC) is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer / Technical Lead to drive the design and delivery of advanced, integrated customer engagement solutions for Federal agencies. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, focusing on architecting and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions integrated with Amazon Connect, AI-driven capabilities, and third-party government systems.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, cloud contact center integrations, and secure solution delivery within regulated government environments. This individual will serve as a technical leader across projects, guiding design decisions, mentoring developers, and ensuring high-quality, scalable implementations.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Salesforce-based contact center solutions, from prototyping through enterprise-scale production deployments
Architect and oversee integrations between Salesforce and Amazon Connect (or similar cloud IVR/ACD platforms), including real-time data exchange, screen-pop functionality, and omnichannel routing
Define technical solutions and integration patterns across Salesforce, AI platforms, and external agency systems
Provide technical leadership to development teams, including code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring junior and mid-level developers
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and lead solutioning discussions with clients
Establish and enforce Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and DevSecOps processes
Ensure all solutions meet Federal security and compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, ATO)
Oversee full lifecycle delivery, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment
Support proposal efforts, technical solutioning, and estimation for new work as needed
Lead knowledge transfer and provide strategic guidance to client teams for long-term system success
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or or Masters with a minimum 6 of relevant experience, progressive experience in Salesforce development and architecture, including Federal program experience
Proven experience designing and delivering solutions in Salesforce Government Cloud environments
Strong experience integrating Salesforce with Amazon Connect cloud-based contact center platforms (required)
U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Required Certifications:
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator
At least two advanced certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect)
Required Technical Skills:
Strong experience with Omni-Channel routing, screen pops, and real-time CRM/contact center integrations
Deep expertise in Salesforce platform development: Apex, Lightning Components, Experience Cloud, and APIs
Experience designing scalable integration architectures using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft or equivalent)
Experience with Einstein / Agentforce capabilities and AI-driven customer engagement solutions
Strong understanding of identity and security architecture, including SSO, MFA, encryption, and secure integration patterns
Proficiency in modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS)
Experience with Salesforce declarative tools (Flow, Lightning App Builder) and governance of hybrid declarative/programmatic solutions
Experience leading development in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and guiding teams in Agile best practices
Strong communication skills and ability to interface with technical and executive stakeholders
Additional Requirements:
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to leadership and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring high-performing technical teams.
Demonstrated success in delivering multiple concurrent, large-scale Salesforce implementations in government or defense sectors.
Desired Experience:
Salesforce Architect-level certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA track progress)
Implementations of additional contact center technology (CXone, Genesys, etc.) and additional contact center focused conversational AI, virtual agents, agent assists, etc.
Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or Data Cloud
Experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure Government
Experience with enterprise analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, SAS)
Experience leading multi-system integration efforts across large Federal programs
Familiarity with additional low-code/no-code platforms and modern cloud-native architectures.
