Role Summary:

We are seeking a Salesforce Platform Lead to join our team supporting the OMEGA program. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding the strategic direction and implementation of our Salesforce platform to enhance the delivery of services and benefits to our nation's veterans. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex VA requirements into robust, scalable, and user-friendly Salesforce solutions.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about leading complex Salesforce implementations in large-scale enterprise environments, preferably within the public sector or government agencies.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Master's degree preferred
• 15 years of relevant experience]
• Federal IT, Agile environments, etc.

Required Skills & Expertise:

•Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and their core functionalities. 

•Strong knowledge of Salesforce data security models, profiles, roles, and sharing rules. 

•Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ, Marketing Cloud, or other advanced Salesforce products is a plus. 

•Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

•Ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels.

•Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

• Salesforce Certified Platform Architect (preferred).

•Relevant Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, Administrator, Platform Developer) are highly desirable.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success in the first month as the Salesforce Platform Lead at the VA would involve establishing strategic alignment with agency goals, building strong relationships with stakeholders and team members, and conducting a thorough assessment of the current Salesforce environment. Key accomplishments would include drafting a platform roadmap, identifying compliance and performance gaps, and initiating requirement gathering and change management planning. Progress will be measured through KPIs such as stakeholder engagement, technical audits, and documented priorities.

Within your first 3–6 months, you’ll have built trusted relationships with your team and stakeholders, contributed meaningfully to project delivery, and demonstrated your ability to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions. You'll be seen as a proactive, reliable teammate who adds value and insight from day one.

This role requires you to live within the contiguous United States.
