As a Salesforce Developer at JumpCloud, you will take ownership of the technical solutions that power our business. Based in India, you will be responsible for the cross-system design, integration architecture, and long-term health of our Salesforce platform and its connections to the wider system landscape. You will tackle complex technical challenges, from high-volume data migrations to intricate debugging, ensuring our systems are scalable, maintainable, and robust. This is a role for a developer who thinks in terms of architecture, performance, and future impact.
About the Team:We are a highly collaborative, globally distributed Enterprise Systems Engineering team responsible for the reliability of our core enterprise applications. Because our team spans multiple time zones, we rely heavily on trust, accountability, and seamless asynchronous communication. We value curiosity and continuous improvement, and we actively support each other’s career growth. We operate with deep customer empathy and a discovery-driven mindset, working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other key departments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Architect and Design Solutions: Lead design conversations and propose specifications for components, interfaces, and services that span multiple systems. You will be expected to explain our integration architecture and its dependencies to others.
- Lead Complex Projects: Take on a Tech or Feature Lead role for projects involving multiple enterprise systems or complex integrations, advocating for the right tradeoffs between delivery speed and feature completeness.
- Develop and Innovate: Find innovative solutions to complex system problems, such as high-volume data migration or synchronization. You will write clean, scalable, and maintainable code for the Salesforce platform.
- Own System Quality and Performance: Champion quality throughout the team by unit testing comprehensively across internal systems. You will lead the investigation and debugging of unexpected cross-system behavior.
- Accelerate and Elevate with AI: Employ AI-powered tools to boost development velocity by generating and optimizing code, enhance quality assurance by assisting in code reviews, and maintain clear standards by automating documentation.
- Proactively Improve Systems: Take an ownership stake in the work of your entire team by creating automated tasks, writing runbooks, and ensuring data quality to prevent problems before they become major issues.
We’re looking for:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer.
- Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and declarative automation tools.
- A strong grasp of multiple systems in our landscape (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, MuleSoft) and their interdependencies.
- Proven ability to design for scalability and long-term maintainability of integration layers and system architecture.
- Experience leading the debugging of complex, unexpected cross-system behaviors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for a global, asynchronous team.
- An ownership mindset, with a proactive approach to finding and solving problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Salesforce Certifications: Holding certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform App Builder is a huge plus.
- Deep Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience navigating and testing core Salesforce features like Flows, Validation Rules, Custom Objects, Permission Sets, and Profiles.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Tools: Experience using tools like Salesforce Inspector or the Developer Console to troubleshoot data and verify backend changes during manual testing.
- Cloud-Specific Experience: Previous experience testing within Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Salesforce CPQ (especially given the Lead-to-Cash focus).
- Release Management Awareness: An understanding of Salesforce’s tri-annual release cycle (Spring, Summer, Winter) and how to regression test against forced platform updates.
- Proficiency in writing SQL, SOQL, Salesforce reporting, Data Import, Postman
