Position Summary: We are looking for a Salesforce Developer to join the athenahealth engineering team in Bangalore. This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting Salesforce solutions that improve internal business and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will work hands-on with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow automation, and integrations to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions across Salesforce platforms. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen expertise in Salesforce development, CI/CD practices, integrations, and modern UI design while contributing to impactful business transformation initiatives.

The team collaborates closely with developers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. Team members focus on innovation, automation, continuous improvement, and adoption of modern engineering practices to support athenahealth’s evolving technology ecosystem.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom business applications
Build modern, user-friendly interfaces using Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Lightning record pages
Implement declarative automation using Flow Builder, including screen flows and record-triggered flows
Develop scalable Apex solutions including triggers, asynchronous processing, and bulkified code patterns
Support Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and authentication mechanisms such as OAuth
Participate in CI/CD workflows, code reviews, Git version control, and release deployment activities
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to long-term system improvements
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and refine technical solutions
Assist in migrating legacy automation solutions to modern Salesforce Flow patterns
Document technical designs, operational procedures, and deployment activities following governance standards
Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices related to governor limits, security, scalability, and maintainability
Support quality assurance activities including unit testing, test class development, and validation processes
Stay updated on Salesforce platform releases, new features, and emerging technologies through continuous learning
Contribute to agile development ceremonies, sprint planning, and collaborative engineering initiatives
Expected Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
2–4 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
Strong proficiency in Apex development, triggers with bulkification, and Salesforce customization
Experience building Lightning Web Components (LWC) and working with JavaScript-based UI development
Knowledge of Salesforce data models, security architecture, sharing rules, and declarative automation tools such as Flow Builder
Familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth authentication, Git version control, CI/CD concepts, and Salesforce DX
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I required; Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II and relevant Trailhead badges preferred
