A Salesforce CPQ Technical Architect is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing CPQ solutions that streamline the sales cycle from lead to cash.
Requirement Gathering: Lead discovery workshops to translate complex sales, pricing, and discounting processes into technical requirements.
Solution Design: Design scalable CPQ architectures, including product bundles, configuration attributes, and complex pricing models (block, tier, or volume-based).
Configuration & Customization: Hands-on setup of Product Rules, Price Rules, Advanced Approvals, and Quote Templates.
Process Automation: Use Flow and CPQ-specific logic to automate the renewal, amendment, and contracting lifecycles.
Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to integrate CPQ with ERP systems, Billing, and other 3rd-party financial tools. Experience of using AI tools for development efficiently will be an added advantage. Tools like, Claude, Cursor, Code vibes and related tools
