Technical Sales Engineer - Completions

We are seeking a full-time Technical Sales Engineer with customer facing experience in completions software and/or completions services in unconventional environments to join our Houston team.
The Technical Sales Engineer works closely with the Account Manager to move customers through the Corva sales process. The steps in the process are:
1. Customer qualification and needs investigation meeting(s)
2. Demo(s)
3. Trial
4. Implementation, training, and supporting the Customer Success organization
The Technical Sales team ensures that we are setting appropriate expectations and ensuring that clients implement Corva’s solutions successfully, adopt it widely and gain value from our products and services. They work closely with Operations, Account Management, Customer Success and Development. Additionally, the focus is to try and shorten sales cycles while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Work closely with our customers to understand how they work, their challenges, and translate their requirements into value statements that customers can easily understand
- Ask open ended-questions to uncover hidden value through the use of Corva that customers may not readily understand
- Create best in class demos that are meaningful for customers and map to the key customer value propositions – this will be different for every customer
- Create successful plans of action to win trials
- Develop and maintain timelines and customer trials
- Capture notes and feedback from critical meetings, discussions, and Intercom conversations and add them into Corva’s CRM
- Facilitate training workshops with customer team(s) and individuals.
- Contribute to case studies, app manuals, or training material
- Use analytics to understand how Corva’s customers are using the platform and identify opportunities to improve their experience
- Track and solve all problems that the customer is having with the software
- Ensure smooth handover to Operations and Customer Success Managers
- Be flexible on hours for meetings with potential customers and current clients
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Located full-time in Houston, Texas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong technical and customer service skills
- Ability to work well with teams effectively
- Thorough knowledge of navigating modern web sites
- Skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Industry leading presentation skills
- Analytical thinking skills
- Ability to train others in an interactive environment
- Previous operator and/or service company experience in completions
- Competencies in petroleum engineering principles
- Leadership skills
- Four-year technical degree
- Demonstrates excellent time management skills
Recommended Qualifications & Skills
- Experience using Corva
- Previous experience in technical sales and training
- Understanding of benchmarking KPIs and continuous improvement principles
