Notified is hiring a Sales Engineer. The Sales Engineer can be either office based or can work remotely. Notified advances the way companies communicate with their employees, customers, investors and the public. We are proud to power mission critical communications such as marketing webinars, virtual events, product launches, employee town halls and investor days. We provide an entire suite of services such as webcasting, online events, press release distribution, audio, video & web conferencing, media monitoring, OTT, corporate websites and investor relations.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for helping to generate sales revenues for Notified and work with sales leadership to develop tactics and strategies designed to achieve sales goals; maintain a working knowledge of technical capabilities and functionality of Notified platforms, systems, technologies, and applications to ensure they can actively and competently carry out sales support role; discuss, present, and demonstrate the assigned business segments systems to prospective clients in an accurate and efficient manner to emphasize the value and benefits of Digital Media solutions; provide support to sales staff in the development and implementation of specific sales and negotiation strategies to acquire new business; develop and maintain response information materials for Requests for Proposal (RFPs), coordinating RFP responses with the Digital Media sales team and designated internal or Notified partner personnel; provide advice and input on sales support
materials and communication strategies.
MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Expertise - Proactively maintain a working knowledge of technical capabilities and
functionality of Notified systems, technologies, and applications to ensure they can
actively and competently support Notified sales to convey the practicality and operative advantages
of Notified systems
* Discuss, present, and demonstrate Notified systems to prospective clients in an accurate and
efficient manner to emphasize and exhibit the value and benefits of Notified.
* Establish communication with assigned division to stay current on technical changes and
trends
* Disseminate information to the sales staff to ensure updated and revised information is always
accessible
* Lead or participate in activities of a project nature, to include establishing and coordinating
objectives as they relate to the goals, by implementing plans and programs for their attainment
(e.g. demos, presentations, etc.)
* Know and support approved departmental and corporate policies relating to business
procedures and philosophies
Technical Sales Support - Provide support to sales staff in the development and implementation
of specific sales and negotiation strategies to achieve new business as they pertain to functional
or technical requirements of Notified systems (e.g., speech recognition, speaker authentication,
Virtual ACD, Products, Interactive Voice Response, Network Control, Interactive Notification,
Notified Data Center Operations, Notified Direct services, Virtual Events and Environments, Streaming
and related services, etc.)
* Prepare analysis based on requirements to communicate back to client Notified technical solutions
and customer benefits as part of the sales cycle and in support of the sales staff
* As needed, accompany sales staff on prospect site or field visits to assist in conducting
presentations in areas of expertise, helping to answer prospect's questions and perform pertinent
demonstrations of systems or applications
* Assist sales staff in preparation for site visits to include preliminary internal notifications,
detailed tour notifications, and coordinating visit with operations management and participating
individuals
* As requested by sales staff, interface with prospective clients to evaluate and understand their
program requirements from a functional and technical perspective
* Translate requirements resulting from sales efforts and communicate to the appropriate
application or systems technical group
* Act as liaison to support all communications efforts between technical group and prospective
client
Documentation Maintenance - Develop and maintain response information materials for
Request for Proposal (RFP) for sales staff to utilize as a reference tool to complete future
proposals, to include the initial development when required and on going maintenance and
update of materials as information is disseminated by sales staff in the course of selling efforts
* Coordinate with operations to review and update materials on a quarterly basis
* As requested, assist sales staff in the development of RFP responses, providing necessary
technical information in a timely and accurate manner
* Provide follow up assistance and expertise when needed to support the sales cycle to fruition
Problem Resolution - Proactively oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of
problems related to area of responsibility
* Respond with a sense of urgency to problems escalated to employee's level
* Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact
the services being provided
* Place the highest priority on providing quality customer service by overseeing all activities of
staff, ensuring the unique needs of customers are met
* Ensure quality resolution and thorough and accurate documentation of customer issues
* Provide analysis and feedback to management staff and appropriate departments regarding
recurring problems, recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences of
problems
* Participate in creating, administering, and continuously updating procedures for resolution of
all related issues
Team Interfaces - Establish and maintain a professional relationship with team members and
department contacts
* Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks
* Escalate work flow and communication issues to supervisor
* Treat all internal/external customers and team members with dignity/respect
Mental and Physical Requirements - -
*This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to
work near or around computers, telephones, and printers
*The nature of the work in this position is sedentary and the incumbent will be sitting most of the
time
*Essential physical functions of the job include typing, grasping, pulling hand over hand, and
repetitive motions to utilize general computer software/hardware continuously throughout the
work day
*Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on tasks, reading information,
and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the work day

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or University with major case work in computer
science, marketing, engineering, business administration, or related field required
* Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational
requirements
Experience
* Minimum five years increasingly responsible experience in software engineering or technical
sales required
Based on area of assignment:
* Minimum two years experience in conceptualization and high-level design of speech
recognition, DTMF, and related self-service solutions preferred
* Minimum 2 years experience in Virtual Environments and Streaming preferred
Technical
* Based on area of responsibility and departmental need, knowledge of VOIP, ACD, CTI,
VXML, DTMF, technologies, protocols, use cases and typical customer requirements for Virtual
Environment and Streaming and speech recognition is required.
* Knowledge of call center operations and interactive notifications preferred.
* Knowledge of audio and video production preferred
