Sales Development Team Lead
Position Overview:
We are looking for a sales leader in the making to be a Team Lead in our Sales Development org at Quick Base, based in our Boston office. Reporting to one of our Senior Sales Development Managers, you will be Player/Coach of a team responsible for generating outbound and inbound lead activity and qualifying opportunities for the sales organization. You will have a small team reporting to you and have individual contributor performance responsibilities. In addition to team building and lead qualification, you will be the front-line eyes and ears for the organization as we scale and grow into new markets. You are extremely well organized and continuously focused on improving the performance of you and your team and optimizing the SDR function within Quickbase. You have a love of top-of-funnel sales, and drive to find winning pipeline, and a desire to develop new talent. You will be a proven sales performer and have a solid understanding of the qualifying and discovery process.
Responsibilities:
Lead a high performance SDR team through day-to-day coaching and continuous professional development through:
- Player/Coach role - Lead team and support as needed daily SDR responsibilities
- Focusing on Meeting/Discovery/Pipeline creation by outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification
- Coaching SDRs to maintain a consistent call, email, metric, and quota attainment
- Coaching each Rep on your team in sales skills, qualifying ability, and to see growth in their careers towards future sales roles or other company department
- Leading by example in all aspects of the SDR job role, by have the ability and willingness to get in the trenches with reps through cold calling, prospecting, and selling
- Motivate SDRs to exceed goals through coaching and incentives
- Understanding the Quickbase product message and learn the top industry and buyer personas messaging and tactics relevant to current GTM Strategy
- Having proficiency in all sales tools, sales processes, and CRM etiquette of the Sales Development Department and GTM Org
- Maintaining or growing a strong organizational background, reporting mindset, project execution skills and/or the ability to learn quickly in these areas
- Key player the hiring process SDR openings on your team
- Assist in performance management processes for your team
- Identifying and researching new buyer personas and verticals with cross-functional teams
- Work cross functionally with Sales and Marketing Managers to ensure a positive customer experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree optional
- 2+ years of SaaS selling (closing) experience with demonstrated success exceeding quota and revenue targets
- Aptitude and passion for learning technical concepts/terms
- Understanding of inbound and outbound sales methodologies and processes
- Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation
- Ability to sell both Net New and Expansion opportunities
