Manufacturing Technology Business Development Manager

Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world's most advanced commercial and military turbine engines, is seeking a talented Business Development Manager for the Manufacturing Engineering organization. This position is within Pratt & Whitney's Core Manufacturing Engineering's Manufacturing Technology organization. The Business Development Manager will support manufacturing technology project identification, funding and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal management for manufacturing technology projects.
• Generate & maintain relationships for external funding (military, national, state, etc.)
• Generate & maintain relationships for internal funding (BLT, WOC, FOH, etc.)
• Interface with other business development managers to coordinate proposal generation and submission.
• Development of business cases for new manufacturing technology projects
• Maintain funded/unfunded projects list and identify potential funding opportunities
• Maintain timeline for different funding submission requirements
• Manufacturing technology project identification, which result in the following benefits: safety, quality, delivery, cost & enabling technology.
• Maintain the 5 yr. manufacturing technology plan
• Assist with Mfg. funding requirements for TDP projects
• Attend applicable Mfg. Technology funding trade shows/conferences (DMC, etc.)
• Support manufacturing technology reviews

Basic Qualifications:

• BS Degree in related field and minimum of 7+ years of prior relevant work experience.
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate with internal & external interdisciplinary personnel.
• Experience with proposal/business case generation
• Knowledge of principles and practices of manufacturing engineering.
• Experience managing projects
• Ability to work with manufacturing engineers and managers to develop & track project ideas, proposals and execution.
