The Life Science Business Development Leader will lead growth efforts of Life Science Business by driving key strategies and partnership initiatives which are critical to market growth and profitability. The Leader should be able to continually assess portfolio opportunities and needs in the Life Science Market, provide input into industry trends, technology/product development, to enhance our portfolio offerings specific to end-user needs.

You will be one of the driving forces for Honeywell achieving a dominant market position in providing solutions and services to the Life Science Space space. Americas Life Science Business Development Leader should have significant domain knowledge of the Life Science industry, including its key business and technology drivers influencing the associated software & automation solutions requirements. The Leader will be instrumental in advising leadership on data-driven strategies to transform business operations that exceed strategic, financial, and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage all relationships with customers in the Life Science market.
  • Work with executive leadership to build a dynamic and future flexible business strategy for rapid growth in this market space.
  • Create business development strategies to increase company revenue and brand value.
  • Advise on Life Science industry trends and support the development of growth strategies. Analyze existing business strategies and provide recommendations for future growth.
  • Drive sales and operations in meeting pole sales targets.
  • Drive sales teams for strong growth in pipeline and project wins.
  • Help executive leadership in setting investment direction to support profitable growth in this market space.
  • Work with strategic marketing and LOB to develop strategic plans that outline positioning, customer segment opportunity, products, pricing, campaigns, and detailed competitive analysis.
  • Participate in seminars and industry events to represent Honeywell in the Life Science market


. YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years-experience in the Life Science Industry
  • Understanding of Life Science automation and software solutions, including DCS, MES and Quality solutions

  • Demonstrated business sense with the leadership and functional ability to define and implement growth strategies and translate into practical actions and metric driven operating systems
  • Success leading marketing, business development, sales and new offering development teams
  • Ability to forge solid relationships (externally & internally), lead across a broad and geographically dispersed business, and to act effectively in a highly matrixed environment
  • Consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to behave with and communicate to team sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including ability to develop and implement effective communication plans for internal/external customers
  • Self- starter, who thrives in an ever-evolving sales environment with ability to exercise independent judgment and to deliver on complex solutions without guidance or supervision
  • Understanding of the Honeywell value proposition as well as the competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business impact of software and automation solutions used across the Life Science manufacturing value chain
  • Thorough knowledge of market penetration strategies and market development strategies and techniques
