Inside Sales – New Business
McLeod Software is seeking an Inside Sales – New Business Representative for our headquarters in Birmingham, AL.
Position Summary:
The Inside Sales – New Business Representative’s primary objective is to contact prospects within the transportation industry who have: initiated general inquiries, responded to an active marketing campaign or are of a size that would benefit from an introduction to the products and services offered by McLeod. They will discuss the prospect’s needs, timeline and other items relevant to their selection of a software solution, qualifying their interest. They will be diligent, self-driven, and ready to accept a rewarding but often challenging role.
Essential Functions:
- Contact McLeod prospects to discuss their needs and provide information on McLeod’s various products and services.
- Qualify the prospect’s level of interest and determines next appropriate course of action.
- Forward all requests for demos, additional meetings etc. to the appropriate sales manager.
- Document all activities within work order record in McLeod's operational system.
Experience Required:
- Bachelors Degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
- The following are strongly preferred: 2+ years of demonstrated success in a Lead Generation Sales role; transportation or logistics industry experience; and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
