Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in event sales or event/hospitality management
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Flexibility to work unusual and often long hours, including evenings and weekends



Job Summary

The Event Sales Coordinator is part of the Rocket Central Events team. In this role, you will fully manage corporate events, organizational trainings, meetings, weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and special events within a growing portfolio of event spaces for internal and external clients. To be successful in this role, you must have an understanding of event processes and how to form relationships with vendors, clients and internal partners. You will also need to be capable of identifying all the aspects needed to manage a successful event. The goal is a world-class experience, every time.

Responsibilities

  • Market, sell, and coordinate events in our venues, with a specialization in social events
  • Assist clients from initial inquiry through onsite event execution
  • Respond to daily event inquiries in a timely manner via email and phone
  • Meet with potential clients to review available venues and create venue proposals
  • Generate invoices, payment schedules, contracts, and event resumes
  • Sell beverage packages and understand beverage policies
  • Generate event floor plans via the Social Tables platform
  • Schedule audio visual technicians and promote audio visual services
  • Coordinate event parking for guests and vendors
  • Collect certificates of insurance from clients and vendors
  • Offer vendor recommendations and ensure vendors are aware of venue guidelines
  • Reconcile all event costs post-event
  • Assist with the onboarding, selling, and marketing of new event spaces
  • Contribute content suggestions and event photos for social media platforms
  • Keep up with industry trends and attend training and networking sessions
  • Coordinate projects that will aid in the success of the team and overall client experience
