Meraki is looking for a qualified network engineer to engage with our customers in proactive motions to assist with systemic technical and procedural issues experienced by our highest-value customers. Due to the cross-functional nature of our organization, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a large variety of people from organizations within and external to Meraki. 

An average workweek might consist of working with the customer in prioritizing and triaging their outstanding issues, collaborating with our Escalations team to help focus the customer’s post-sales experience, partnering with our Sales and Product organizations to remove roadblocks, and providing valuable feedback to our surrounding teams to improve our customer’s experience.

You Will:

  • Create, execute and analyze technical test plans to obtain data needed to validate mission-critical networks
  • Build structured improvement plans for customers in need
  • Learn quickly, navigate difficult political conversations, and strategically take charge of complex situations
  • Read, weigh-in, and potentially scope Support bug issues
  • Build expert-level documentation
  • Use knowledge gained from work to provide in-depth documentation
  • Provide detailed Post Mortem documentation to help Meraki build preventative measures

You Are:

  • Obtain certifications and learn programming languages
  • Attend industry meetups, webinars, and conferences
  • Stay current on networking best practices and competitor solutions
  • Explore new tools and investigate advancements in the field of computer networking

You Have:

  • At least one year in current role/department
  • Completion of a professional networking certification
  • Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed teams and customers
  • Experience in working on high-touch Support engagements
  • Project management background a plus
  • Examples of documentation, either external or internal-facing
