Job Summary
We won't beat around the bush, at Hawke we don't expect you to run - we expect you to soar. We're looking for self-starting, energetic individuals to help power our rapid development and growth, taking Hawke to new heights on a daily basis. As a Business Development Representative your sole role will be to produce leads, book discovery meetings, and prep a sale for close by prospecting, researching, and qualifying prospective clients.
We expect our Business Development Representatives to call anywhere from 30-50 new leads a day so you should be extremely comfortable on the phone. We're looking for someone who isn't going to take hearing no personally, nor for an answer.
In your first month, you will shadow our current Business Development Representatives and work with our Business Development Executives. We believe in moving fast and learning by doing, but also in surrounding our employees with a team of passionate individuals to have their backs. The ability to first seek answers on your own but not be afraid to raise your hand for help is invaluable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze potential challenges and opportunities with our prospects
  • Outbound calls to educate business owners on the amazing opportunities provided by digital marketing
  • Communicate information over the phone and through email about our services and benefits
  • Provide quality leads and key information to our Business Development Executives
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with our prospects


Job Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in sales and marketing (preferred, but not required)
  • Preferably a sales internship within digital marketing
  • You are a team player but can work very well independently
  • High attention to detail and great follow-through skills
  • Salesforce and Apollo experience a plus
  • Asks questions and provides feedback in an effort to clarify mutual expectations
  • Seeks advice on tasks and responsibilities when needed
  • Speaks and writes to peers in ways that support transactional activities
  • Shares information and asks questions prior to taking action
  • Asks questions and looks for data that helps to identify and differentiate the symptoms and root causes of everyday, defined problems
  • Suggests remedies that meet the needs of the situation and those directly affected
  • Resolves problems and escalates issues appropriately
  • Maintains awareness of emotions and uses this to guide positive thinking and actions.
  • Recognizes gaps in one's own skillset and takes advantage of learning opportunities to enhance effectiveness.
  • Participates willingly by supporting team decisions, assisting other team members, and doing his/her share of the work to meet goals and deadlines
  • Informs other team members about client-related decisions, group processes, individual actions, or influencing events
