The Role

This role can be based anywhere across the East Coast of the US. The role of the Business Development Representative is varied and challenging. As a scale up technology company we must understand the needs of our prospects and help guide them through complex consultative sales processes. Our solution is disruptive in nature and we have to showcase the many benefits we offer our clients and their communities. With a growing presence across the US, your passion for communication will help support this continued growth by helping to increase sector awareness, interest, desire and action. You will be expected to communicate effectively with C-Suite executives and all key stakeholders to help accelerate Top of Funnel growth and qualified meetings. This role is pivotal in the sales cycle and will ultimately lead to further successful growth in line with our aspirational short, medium and long term plans.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and contact new prospects and qualify them for the Plentific solutions
  • Set meetings for the Account Executives to demo a tailored solution and progress through the sales cycle
  • Drive awareness, interest, desire and action with new prospects across multiple sectors
  • Communicate effectively with C Suite executives to identify pain points and generate prospect meetings
  • Ability to clearly and effectively showcase / demonstrate our core solutions
  • Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
  • Anticipate requirements by conducting market research to identify new prospects and communicate effectively with them
  • Support and collaborate with the senior sales team on outbound strategies and lead generation
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the Plentific solutions and market requirements
  • Act as the first point of contact for new prospects and determine next steps
  • Help evolve our Sales Playbooks to maximize outcomes


Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in a marketing leadership role
  • Previous B2B and B2C SaaS experience critical
  • Marketplace business experience beneficial
  • Track record of building and managing a large team team and budget
  • Experience with coaching and developing team members
  • Expertise in multiple marketing platforms and tools including CRM platforms
  • Experience selling >£150k in annual contract values will be helpful
  • Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills
  • Knowledge of and insight into relevant market trends, with an ability to think strategically
  • Strong working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market
  • Passion for marketing, design perfection, brand building and working in a startup environment
  • Help with raising brand awareness for both our trade and consumer audiences
  • Ability to think out of the box with a can-do attitude to get things done efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Good academic background in marketing, economics, business management or a related field
