Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of relevant partnership management experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in online privacy
• Experience working in trust and safety, policy areas, program management, or consulting
• Experience in partnership development (e.g., identifying partners, structuring and facilitating agreements, partner management, and handling sensitive partnerships)
• Experience operating within and providing leadership in cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy, Operations, etc.) across initiatives
• Knowledge of Android/ Google Play products and Trust and Safety mission
• Problem-solving skills (e.g., an entrepreneurial and creative approach, persistence, attention to detail, and demonstrated collaboration instincts)

About the job

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing our existing relationships as well as securing partnerships that help Android and Google Play grow responsibly. You will work closely with the Security and Privacy Product, Intelligence Desk, and Policy teams to identify where outside expertise can strengthen our cross-functional efforts, enhance our understanding of rapidly developing trends, and improve our existing technology. You will work cross-functionally to manage escalations related to policy violating content and help shape narratives and strategy that highlight ecosystem trends and define policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with developers in sensitive categories (e.g., elections, health, and child safety)
• Lead cross-functionally to secure buy-in for partnerships (e.g., problem-solving legal, policy, business, operational, and technical complexities)
• Be a domain policy expert and thought leader in the Trust and Safety space
