Account Strategist Lead

The Account Strategy team is an integral part of the Client Services organization. We develop, grow and optimize Programmatic Display, Native Ads, Video, and Mobile campaigns across our house of brands, helping advertisers meet and exceed performance goals.
A Lot About You:
The Account Strategists are the specialists on our industry-leading ad platforms. As an Account Strategist, you'll be partnering closely with your Sales and Operations team, contributing from pre-sale through campaign set-up and optimization on a set of premium advertiser accounts you own together.
You will work independently to help identify performance opportunities that help foster long-term success for your clients. This can include proactively recommending optimizations based on performance data, testing effective creative, analyzing marketplace insights, targeting the right audiences and supply sources, and optimizing bids and adjusting budgets - all to improve our advertisers' success. As a key partner in planning and implementing digital marketing campaigns, you'll engage directly with advertisers at all levels of their organization, which can include daily interaction as well as the preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly executive presentations.
Your Day:
  • Work closely with your internal partner team to provide outstanding service for your set of Yahoo's premier clients.
  • Identify and prioritize vital account services and proactive optimization recommendations for the improvement of your assigned accounts.
  • Evaluate and analyze performance using analytics tools to diagnose potential issues and identify improvement opportunities to foster long-term client success and grow revenue.
  • Be a specialist on Yahoo Audiences, Video, Native Ads and Mobile Ads optimization opportunities and be able to communicate these to our advertisers.
  • Implement creative ways to build and nurture client relationships, consult on strategy, share performance-enhancing suggestions, and promote our Yahoo products.
Qualifications:
  • BA degree in Marketing, Advertising or a related field, or comparable proven experience.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and uncover opportunities through the use of data, analytics, and critical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional environment, building consensus with others and leading change amongst peers and senior management.
  • Strong Google Suite and Excel Skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, campaign development and management, and a dedication to stay current on industry trends.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience providing strategic marketing advice either within a blue-chip company or as part of an agency.
  • Ability to write copy in a way that translates client marketing objectives into highly effective ads.
  • Experience servicing and/or consulting in a vendor/client relationship.

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $82,875.00 - $138,125.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, retirement, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
