The Account Manager is a highly collaborative role on the Sales & Partnerships team and works to support the field sales team to achieve global targets and objectives. He/she plays a pivotal role in helping to maintain, execute and upsell revenue through superior relationship management of their accounts. The AM will be commercially-minded with a willingness to push boundaries in order to drive revenue for the business and successful campaigns for their clients.

Key responsibilities include various aspects of digital media planning, presale strategy, relationship management and campaign operations. Account Managers are responsible for managing and maintaining active client and agency relationships in order to align all parties for the purpose of building our client’s business. This position has frequent and on-going client communication and plays a pivotal role in helping generate revenue through digital, print and custom solutions.

Account Managers serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts through all phases of sales cycle. AM’s may be involved in client pitches where required, on-going account management duties, and provide structure and support between pitch closing and management of delivery, including post-campaign reporting and renewal calls.

What You'll Do:

  • Account management of designated customer relationships throughout RFP response process as required, working alongside sales and brand marketing team. Responsibilities include preparation, revision and ownership of digital/print media plan input within order management system to be presented to agency and advertiser clients.
  • Ability to work well across teams including sales, ad ops, marketing, creative services and production. 
  • Work with sales to qualify leads and product/ad ops to identify appropriate product mix to ensure profitable campaigns are sold in.
  • Campaign delivery and optimization management, working closely with ad ops team to track campaign’s delivery and performance as main point of client contact. 
  • Timely and professional delivery of advertiser reporting including pacing/performance reports, screenshots, proof of implementation, campaign wrap-up decks and internal project post-mortems (as needed).
  • Work with ad ops/business ops to resolve discrepancy resolution, invoice clearance, flight changes and optimizations for campaigns. 
  • Cross-media integration, understanding all the planning and executional nuances of building and delivering media plans or custom campaigns against all media types from digital to print and mobile.
  • Be considerate of the wider Lonely Planet business strategic objectives and look for solutions that will help further these goals and strengthen the Sales & Partnerships vision.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years managing client relationships & digital campaign execution from start to finish.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize task list in order to meet deadlines. 
  • Experience analyzing data to extract meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel and project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday). 
  • You have a passion for digital advertising and a desire to constantly learn.
