Roles & Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong ties with
institutional clients (Including domestic mutual funds, hedge funds, asset
managers, proprietary trading desks); act as key contact for
derivatives-related opportunities, providing tailored trade ideas and market
intelligence; Disseminate firm research, Trading Idea, and structured trade
recommendations
Identify and execute arbitrage
opportunities across cash, futures, and options markets; design/execute option
strategies (directional,
volatility, spreads, hedging); Engage in special situations trading (including
- events, corporate actions & index rebalancing plays); execute pairs
trading strategies;
monitor market conditions, liquidity and pricing for optimal execution.
Ensure trades comply with risk/regulatory
frameworks; manage margins, limits, exchange rules; monitor & manage trade
exposures ensuring alignment with client mandates and firm policy.
Expand institutional derivatives client
base; Collaborate with research and structuring teams to design bespoke derivative products; source and execute block trades to
enhance liquidity.
Partner with proprietary trading desks,
research analysts, and structuring teams to deliver trade ideas; enhance
in-house trade algorithms; provide feedback on market trends, client needs
& product innovation to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Skills Required
- Master's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in derivatives sales trading, preferably at a broking firm, investment bank, or proprietary trading house
- Expertise in arbitrage, options trading, special situations strategies, and pairs trading
- Strong understanding of equity derivatives, index futures and options, and volatility products
- Strong market analysis and trade structuring skills
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Omnesys, and derivatives analytics tools
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- In-depth knowledge of derivatives risk management and regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in pairs trading, block sourcing, and algorithmic trading development
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivation, high ethical standards, responsiveness, and ability to mentor junior team members
