As a Sales suppor coordinator, you’ll be part of a growing team that is dedicated to driving greater engagement with our customers. You will interact with customers every day, inspiring educators to show their students the world by creating international travel programs at their schools. You will reach out directly to customers using the telephone, emails and text messages to find educators interested in leading a trip for their students; and will nurture these leads by building customer excitement and by fostering positive customer sentiment to further qualify the teacher for this opportunity. This is an ideal role for an individual with strong written and verbal communication skills, looking to excel in a unique and growing hybrid sales model of customer engagement, personalization, and customer acquisition.
Responsibilities at a glance:
- Understanding of sales processes, especially qualifying leads
- Use phone, text and email to contact potential new customers
- Make 50-100 outbounds calls per day and make contact with 10+ teachers
- Utilize and refine your sales techniques of controlling and engaging conversations, overcoming objections, and confidently ask for a meeting with a Tour Consultant to ensure the passing of a qualified lead
- Utilize your knowledge of sales and customer service to effectively support customers through online chat
- Engage with middle and high school teachers through our chat and phone to build desire and commitment to launch international travel program
- Effectively pass conversations to Tour Consultants to close the sale
- Collaborate regularly with Sales team members in Boston, Denver, and Austin to drive conversion and share best practices
- Report on performance to explore opportunities for improvement and innovation
Preferred requirements:
- 1+ years of sales or business development experience
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Ability to influence and engage prospective customers
- Capacity to balance technological and functional skills with clear and concise communication to create a positive customer experience
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Comfort as an independent self-starter with excitement for new challengesExperience tracking and reporting on activity metrics and KPIs
- Outstanding organizational skills
- The following shifts are available:
Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm with a 1-hour break
Monday-Friday, 10am to 7pm with a 1-hour break
