Overview
Mastercard Merchant Solutions provides seamless connectivity into Mastercard's payment processing, gateway, and value-added services capabilities. Our solutions help customers simplify payment acceptance, accelerate digital commerce, and unlock new growth opportunities.
We are looking for a Sales Specialist to support the growth of our Merchant Solutions business across Europe. Working closely with Sales teams, Account Managers, Product teams, and regional stakeholders, the Sales Specialist helps identify opportunities, develop customer value propositions, and support the successful execution of sales opportunities.

Role
The Sales Specialist supports the commercialization and growth of Mastercard's Merchant Solutions portfolio across Europe.
The role works alongside Sales Directors to develop opportunities, prepare customer proposals, support sales engagements, and coordinate internal teams throughout the sales cycle. The Sales Specialist also develops deep knowledge of Mastercard's solutions and the payments ecosystem to help customers address their business challenges and achieve their objectives.
Key Responsibilities• Support Sales teams, account managers and customer solution architects in identifying, qualifying, and progressing Merchant Solutions opportunities.• Develop customer presentations, business cases, proposals, and other sales materials.• Participate in customer meetings, workshops, and solution discussions.• Build and maintain knowledge of Mastercard's Merchant Solutions portfolio and industry trends.• Help translate customer needs into solution-based recommendations and value propositions.• Coordinate with Product, Pricing, Legal, Finance, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to support deal progression.• Support pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting activities.• Contribute market insights and customer feedback to help improve solution positioning and commercialization efforts.• Assist with RFPs, customer information requests, and other commercial activities.• Support the successful transition of opportunities from sales to implementation and onboarding teams.

Experience & Skills• Experience in sales support, business development, consulting, payments, fintech, product commercialization, or a related field.• Understanding of payment gateways, payment processing, merchant services, fintech, or digital commerce is an advantage.• Experience preparing business cases, customer proposals, and presentations.• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is beneficial.• Fluency in English required. Additional European languages are a plus.
