Summary:
The Sales Representative is responsible
for operating outside the office of the Department, searching for potential
sales leads, and bringing new business to the Department.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Maintenance
of and accountability for high levels of customer service at all times
(internal and external).
- Identify
key sales opportunities to enhance company revenue.
- Meet
with customers in order to market, explain and sell products and services.
- Develop
professional and healthy relationships with clients, management and
internal staff.
- Concentrate
on selling merchandise and services to customers.
- Visit
job sites daily and procure orders.
- Liaise
with the persons inside the store to determine the availability of
products.
- Interact
with customers, answer their questions and make sales.
- Serve
as consultants for customers by helping them make the right selections.
- Respond
to customers’ queries regarding goods and services provided by the
Department.
- Advise
customers on the application and use of products.
- Address
customer issues in a timely manner to ensure high level of customer
satisfaction.
- Ensure
that items for delivery are delivered within a reasonable time
- Prepare
job status reports
- Assist
in stock counts
- Assist
in the delivery process when necessary.
- Report to the Senior
Manager weekly regarding existing, new or potential customers.
- Ensures
that vehicles are always in good working condition.
- Prepares
and submits Weekly Sales Report to Management.
Requirements
Skills and
Qualifications
- Must possess five (5) CXC subjects
including Mathematics, English, Accounts, and Information technology
- At least 2 years experience as a Sales
Representative or similar position
- Must possess the license
required to operate and drive the assigned vehicle. P-Standard driver’s license
preferred.
- Must have at least two
years of experience in driving.
- Willingness to learn
about products and services being sold
- Must be polite and
provide excellent customer service
- Detail-Oriented and good
documentation skills
- Excellent Teamwork abilities
- Excellent communication and
organizational skills
- Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel and
use computer applications
Skills Required
- Five CXC subjects including Mathematics, English, Accounts, and Information technology
- At least 2 years experience as a Sales Representative or similar position
- License to operate and drive the assigned vehicle, P-Standard driver's license preferred
- At least two years of experience in driving
- Excellent customer service skills
