Job Description

We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Representative to help grow Etihad Airways’ presence and performance in the Zimbabwean market.

This is a hands-on sales role where you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of customers, build strong relationships across the travel trade and corporate market, and identify new opportunities to grow revenue and market share.

You’ll combine relationship building with commercial insight – understanding your customers, analyzing the market and competitors, and turning opportunities into measurable sales results. For someone who enjoys winning business, developing accounts, and working toward ambitious targets, this is an opportunity to represent Etihad in an important market and contribute directly to our continued growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and execute sales plans across your assigned accounts to achieve revenue and commercial targets.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with travel agencies, corporate customers, and other key commercial partners, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Analyze customer potential, market trends, and competitor activity to identify where the strongest revenue opportunities exist.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities and take ownership of progressing them from initial engagement through to conversion.
  • Use available data, commercial insights, and sales tools to prioritize activity and improve account performance.
  • Negotiate and manage commercial agreements with customers, balancing customer requirements with Etihad’s commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and Etihad partners to develop customer solutions, support commercial initiatives, and unlock new opportunities.
  • Keep customers informed of relevant Etihad products, services, and promotions and identify opportunities to grow their business with us.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer and sales activity within Etihad’s CRM and use this information to support effective account management.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

Above all, we’re looking for a sales professional with the energy, commercial mindset, and determination to deliver results.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • At least three years of relevant experience in sales, account management, or business development.
  • A demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales, revenue, or commercial targets.
  • Airline sales experience is strongly preferred; however, we’re also interested in candidates from the broader travel industry or high-performing B2B sales environments.
  • Strong account management and business development capability, with the ability to identify, develop, and convert new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to become a trusted commercial partner to your customers.
  • Commercial and analytical capability, with the confidence to use data and market insights to make effective sales decisions.
  • The ability to work effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, energetic, and resilient approach, with the motivation to succeed in a target-driven environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A strong understanding of the Zimbabwean and/or wider Southern African travel and commercial market is highly desirable.

If you’re motivated by building relationships, winning new business, and delivering measurable commercial results, this is an opportunity to play an important role in Etihad’s continued growth in Zimbabwe and the wider region.
