Who We’re Looking For :

Microsoft Advertising is seeking a Sales Readiness Lead, supporting our Performance Solutions APAC region, to join the Global Sales Strategy and Enablement organization. This role serves as a system-level orchestrator responsible for translating strategy into clear, executable readiness plans that drive consistent field performance, scalable adoption, and measurable business outcomes. The team sits at the intersection of Sales Strategy, Demand Planning, Launch Operations, Field Sales Excellence, and partner teams, ensuring sellers have the guidance, resources, processes, and tools required to execute against Microsoft Advertising’s priorities with clarity and confidence.

The Sales Readiness Lead is a senior IC accountable for orchestrating the end-to-end readiness system that enables sellers and customers for success. This person partners closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Strategy, Demand Planning, Field Sales Excellence, Launch Operations, Product Marketing, Business Planning, Revenue Management, Learning & Development, and other partner teams to convert strategic inputs into practical sales execution guidance. The role does not own every deliverable; instead, it creates the operating model, readiness planning cadence, governance forums, and accountability mechanisms that help partner teams align, sellers prioritize what matters, and the field reduce friction, adopt new tools and processes, and deliver against business priorities at scale.

Role based in Sydney

Responsibilities
  • Readiness Strategy & Planning
    • Define the readiness strategy supporting the Performance Solutions APAC region, translating sales priorities into clear execution plans with defined outcomes, accountable owners, and timelines.
    • Operate in a two-in-a-box partnership with Demand Planning, Sales Strategy, and Business Planning to translate growth opportunities, market and segment priorities, seasonal moments, and field needs into proactive readiness plans.
    • Establish a repeatable rhythm of business for planning, execution, measurement, and feedback so readiness work is prioritized, sequenced, and continuously improved based on business impact and field adoption.
  • Field Execution, Adoption & Business Impact
    • Orchestrate the end-to-end readiness system that connects strategy, product inputs, launch priorities, sales communications, tool adoption, and success measurement into clear field action.
    • Partner with Field Sales Excellence and Sales Leaders to identify where sellers need clarity, where blockers are slowing execution, and where processes, resources, or guidance are required to remove friction and accelerate revenue impact.
    • Define measurement and accountability mechanisms that keep stakeholders aligned on adoption, execution progress, field feedback, and business outcomes while reinforcing functional ownership across partner teams.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration & Readiness Landing
    • Act as the connective layer across Launch Operations, Product Marketing, Marketing, Learning and Development, Business Planning, and other partner teams to ensure products, processes, and tools land in a way that helps sellers execute with confidence at scale.
    • Curate and synthesize content, tools, insights, and guidance from subject matter experts into cohesive readiness plans and field-facing materials, rather than owning creation of every asset directly.
    • Elevate systemic gaps, recurring friction points, and field feedback to the right stakeholders, using readiness moments and launches as opportunities to listen, learn, and improve processes at scale.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or related field AND 7+ years experience in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.
  • 5+ years experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or related field AND 12+ years experience in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience translating business strategy into executable readiness plans across complex, cross-functional environments, including defining priorities, action plans, stakeholder roles, operating cadences, and measures of success.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data, field feedback, and business signals to identify readiness gaps, prioritize work, shape scalable solutions, and improve adoption, seller productivity, and business outcomes.

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, matrixed environments, independently scoping problems, clarifying ownership, aligning stakeholders, and driving progress across organizational boundaries without direct authority.

  • Effective communication and influence skills, with the ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear guidance for sellers, Field Sales Excellence, sales leaders, and cross-functional partners.

  • Demonstrated track record of accountability and disciplined execution, including managing complex workstreams, meeting deadlines, resolving blockers, and maintaining a high-quality operating rhythm across partners.

  • Experience in digital advertising, sales excellence, sales readiness, GTM, launch operations, or related commercial execution functions, with an understanding of how sellers sell, how customers buy, and what is required to enable consistent field execution.

  • Experience building repeatable operating rhythms, readiness frameworks, workback plans, measurement models, or change-management plans that improve adoption and reduce friction for field teams.
