Scope of Job

IHI Terrasun is looking for a highly motivated, driven, and passionate individual to join the IHI Terrasun Sales team as a Sales Operations Manager. The Sales Operations Manager’s primary function will be to lead sales-related operational tasks and sales-sided project management internally at IHI Terrasun across our interdisciplinary teams that include legal, product, supply chain, suppliers & vendors, design & engineering, controls & software, commissioning, finance, and services. This individual should be passionate about renewable energy and project management and enjoy problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.  This position requires a high degree of collaboration with customers, suppliers, internal teams, and other groups of diverse stakeholders.


The Sales Operations Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Leading the organization through IHI Terrasun internal sales tasks from quotation to contract
  • Perform tasks such as cash flow analysis, project schedule development for projects
  • Working closely with the Sales Team to ensure all necessary action items from IHI’s customers have been logged and tracked with accuracy in IHI’s internal project management software platform (SmartSheets).
  • Interface, drive, and execute action items weekly to allow IHI to sign contracts with confidence
  • Driving legal documentation, Terms & Conditions, and custom exhibits forward
  • Driving cross-functional working sessions internal


Primary Job Functions


  • Review and understand customer’s Battery + Solar + Controls project requirements to lead the weekly close of contracts once the IHI Sales Team has identified the project as high % to contract.
  • Coordination with customers + the internal sales team + all internal stakeholders across interdisciplinary teams
  • Coordination within IHI legal, sales, product, field services, supply chain, suppliers and vendors, design & engineering, finance, and others internal & external to IHI
  • Drive internal project management tasks week to week, track, log, and report out to the executive management team.
  • Use Project Management skills to keep the organization on pace and on time (SmartSheets software experience is a plus)
  • Set priorities for the organization in terms of what needs to be done to advance IHI projects to contracting
  • Comfortable managing across interdisciplinary teams


 

Job Dimensions (skills, knowledge & abilities)

Project Management experience (1+years), Project Management software familiarity (SmartSheets), CAPM or PMP certification will be viewed favorably or equivalent certs, ability to drive interdisciplinary teams towards set goals

 

Qualifications (Education & Work Experience)

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years in Sales Operations or Project Management roles with emphasis managing across interdisciplinary teams
  • 1+ years with Project Management software environments (need to list)
  • 1 years software experience
  • practical experience in sales reporting, smartsheet, sales ops, Excel, Salesforce
  • High capacity for organization and attention to detail.
  • Fast learner and capable of executing multiple projects and objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Skills (Office, Excel, PowerPoint)


Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Business or Engineering w/ an emphasis on Operations or Project Management
  • Ability to read electrical drawing sets a plus
  • Background in Legal negotiations a plus


Tools & Equipment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Project Management software (SmartSheet favorable)


Certificates/Licenses

  • CAPM or PMP is a plus or equivalent certificate


The national pay range for this role is $89,000 - $125,000 / year and is considered a Level P2 – Developing Professional Individual Contributor role. This pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in an annual discretionary bonus.
