About Bright Software Group
At Bright, we are powering the digital practice of tomorrow – today.
We deliver products that help accountants, payroll bureaus, and businesses across the UK and Ireland work smarter and win more. Our portfolio spans payroll, accounting, tax, and practice management, built around the people who use them every day.
We believe understanding is the difference between working and winning.
The Role
The Sales Operations Lead owns the day-to-day running of Sales Operations, working closely with the Director of Revenue Operations to keep the function well governed and consistently delivered. The post-holder is the operational backbone for the sales team's use of HubSpot, driving process, reporting and platform discipline, and building capability across the wider team so expertise isn't concentrated in one person.

What You'll Do
  • Own pipeline reporting and forecasting, building, maintaining and challenging sales forecasts, pipeline reviews and revenue projections, with accuracy against target on a weekly and monthly cadence.
  • Manage deal validation and booking rules — new business, upsell, cross-sell and renewals — including reviewing pricing, discounts and non-standard terms so every deal is classified and counted correctly.
  • Own full-funnel reporting, from lead through to closed-won, covering conversion rates, sales velocity and win/loss analysis.
  • Track core metrics and own the dashboards that give the business a single, trusted view of sales performance.
  • Work with the CRO's sales leadership team on go-to-market process design, territory and account assignment, and quota management.
  • Manage sales-facing HubSpot processes: pipeline stage definitions, deal data quality standards, and day-to-day sales workflow administration.
  • Identify and fix bottlenecks in the sales funnel, working with Marketing on lead response times and qualification criteria.
  • Support commission and compensation reporting, ensuring bookings data feeds cleanly into commission calculations.
  • Partner with the Director of Revenue Operations and the CRM/HubSpot Systems Architect on sales operations strategy and platform changes.

What We're Looking For
Essential
  • Proven HubSpot operations experience, ideally at enterprise scale.
  • Strong hands-on reporting and data skills, comfortable with SQL, Power BI or similar data manipulation tools, with a track record of building sales ops reporting for every level of the business.
  • Strong understanding of how a sales operations function should run, pipeline management, forecasting support, deal validation, reporting cadence.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills and commercial awareness, with comfort working across Sales, Finance, Marketing and Customer Success.
  • Comfortable training and upskilling colleagues on CRM use, not just doing the work themselves.
  • Experience operating in a fast-moving, multi-system commercial environment (CRM, CPQ, billing, systems), bringing siloed data together to drive real data insights.
  • Uses AI tools confidently in day-to-day work, and actively seeks new ways to apply them to do the job better.
Nice to Have
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior sales operations colleagues.
  • Exposure to CPQ or billing platforms (for example DealHub or Maxio) alongside HubSpot.
  • Experience in a PE-backed or fast-scaling SaaS business.
