The Sales Operations Analyst – North America supports the Regional Business Development Director and collaborates closely with Business Development Managers, Technical Sales Managers, and Key Account Managers to drive profitable growth across the region. This role focuses on delivering data-driven insights, improving pipeline visibility, strengthening forecast accuracy, and supporting commercial strategy within a global oil and gas services organization.
Job Description:
- Analyze regional and account-level sales, pricing, and margin data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards such as pipeline reports, monthly performance packs, and quarterly business review materials.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support commercial decision-making.
- Maintain high-quality CRM data including accounts, opportunities, and customer records.
- Consolidate and validate regional sales forecasts in collaboration with Business Development and Key Account Managers.
- Monitor pipeline health including coverage, velocity, and win/loss metrics.
- Provide analytical support for major bids, MSAs, frame agreements, and pricing reviews.
- Support pricing analysis, scenario modeling, and margin tracking for key commercial opportunities.
- Partner with Technical Sales Managers to ensure commercial elements of technical proposals are accurately documented.
- Help standardize and reinforce sales processes including lead-to-opportunity, opportunity-to-quote, and quote-to-order.
- Act as a regional power user for CRM and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, reporting accuracy, and data quality.
- Support territory and account planning including segmentation and whitespace analysis.
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to align sales forecasts with operational capacity and service delivery.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations for internal leadership reviews and customer business reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related commercial support role.
- Experience in oilfield services, energy, or industrial B2B environments is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting sales teams, pipeline management, or commercial reporting is highly desirable.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
- Proficiency working with CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of sales pipelines, forecasting, and commercial performance metrics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
