We are seeking a highly strategic, commercially astute Sales Manager to lead and elevate our sales operations across QLD & NT from our facility in Wacol, QLD.
In this leadership role, you will define the regional commercial strategy and command a dedicated sales organization. You will balance hands-on commercial drive with sophisticated P&L stewardship, ensuring our industrial and technical solutions continue to drive unparalleled process efficiency for our clients.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level business vision and on-the-ground performance. Your mission is built on three core strategic pillars:

  • Commercial Strategy & Market Expansion: Design, execute, and monitor robust strategic plans to achieve annual sales targets and expand our regional customer footprint. You will identify high-potential business opportunities and architect winning strategies to secure new, high-value commercial accounts.

  • Key Account Stewardship & Market Intelligence: Nurture deep, trust-based partnerships with key enterprise clients, positioning Air Liquide as a vital technical partner. Continuously interpret and anticipate competitive market dynamics, pricing shifts, and emerging industry trends to keep our offerings ahead of the curve.

  • Commercial Leadership & Operational Governance: Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales team, driving accountability and technical sales excellence. Govern all secondary commercial operations—including safety compliance (HSEQ), budgeting, financial performance, and cross-functional distribution (such as Bulk and cylinder operations).

We are looking for a visionary, results-oriented commercial leader who can work autonomously to drive regional profitability. You will bring:

  • Educational Foundation:  Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Commercial Leadership Experience: 5+ years of proven B2B sales management or senior commercial leadership experience, ideally within industrial gases, heavy manufacturing, or technical solution-selling environments.

  • Negotiation & Commercial Mastery: Exceptional negotiation skills with a demonstrated track record of structuring and closing complex, high-stakes commercial agreements.

  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret market data, manage budgets, analyze pipeline metrics (using CRM/Salesforce), and make data-driven decisions.

  • Team Enablement: A natural mentor with a passion for developing talent, setting clear performance objectives, and driving team-wide alignment around safety and operational KPIs.
