To accelerate growth in key strategic markets, Thales is seeking a Sales Manager to lead its Public Security business across Singapore and the wider Asia region.

This typically includes the following:

  • Drive business development activities in the Public Security domain in Singapore and Asia region
  • Manage and develop sales opportunities in cooperation with Bid team, Domain leaders, Business Line and sales Management
  • Define and implement Business Line’s (BL) business and sales strategy in Singapore and in Asia region (targeted vertical markets, partnerships, business models)

The Sales Manager will have the full accountability of his/her portfolio for order intake, minimum margins and business development, as well as following internal sales process and ethics and reporting to Sales Management.

He/She should have extensive sales experience, strong negotiation skills and customer relationship building and business development capabilities. He/She should also have strong business background and proven track record in the region, preferably in Public Security domain.

The role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement sales strategy and transformation towards new business models in line with the BL’s priorities (focus on targeted vertical markets and Thales’ offers).
  • Contribute to building and executing the account plans (strategic & key accounts in the region).
  • Collaborate with all involved functions to address an opportunity, to deliver high-level value propositions and winning bids.
  • Build and maintain high-level, trust-based customer relationships to enhance opportunity capture and conversion rates.
  • Anticipate, lead and execute complex commercial negotiations and drive the development, positioning, and closure of high-value deals and strategic partnerships in collaboration with other Business Lines.
  • Ensure efficient, transparent and timely reporting in compliance with Thales’ sales process and standards.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in rigorously adhering to and enforcing Thales sales governance, including gates, ethical standards, MYB and SBP processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any related discipline.
  • 10 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the Security domain with strong digital business acumen and a proven ability to engage complex, high-demand customers; demonstrated success in selling end-to-end systems and integrated solutions, including partner ecosystems.
  • Knowledge and proven track record/experience within the Asia region, especially Singapore.
  • Has experience working in large multinational companies.
  • Proven track record in selling complex solutions to high-demand customers.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to complex environments and organisations, and collaborating with geographically dispersed stakeholders.
