We're Hiring a Sales Manager for our Dewatering Team in Pittsburgh!
Responsibilities:
Product Sales Strategy & Commercial Execution
• Develop and execute a North America product-sales strategy focused on permanent pump sales and installation.
• Identify emerging market needs in construction, mining, industrial process applications, municipal bypass alternatives, and environmental sectors.
• Drive specification development, partnering with engineering firms, consultants, and technical influencers.
• Establish clear commercial targets for product revenue, margin expansion, product mix, and geographic growth.
• Strengthen and expand relationships with contractors, industrial clients, mining operators, municipal customers, and national accounts.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
• Lead a team of Outside Sales Reps focused on equipment sales.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor high-caliber sales talent, ensuring strong technical competency and commercial effectiveness
Set clear expectations, review performance metrics, and ensure the team executes the product-sales strategy consistently.
Technical & Application Support
• Partner with engineering and product management to ensure the team can properly
position system capabilities, product features, and competitive differentiators.
• Support complex RFQs, engineered solutions, technical submittals, and project design reviews.
• Provide customer feedback into product roadmaps and participate in VOC activities to influence future product improvements.
Forecasting, Pipeline Management & Reporting
• Deliver accurate forecasts for product sales, backlog, and opportunity pipelines.
• Monitor sales KPIs, regional trends, customer buying patterns, and competitive positioning to guide commercial decisions.
• Conduct regular business reviews with sales teams, leadership, and channel partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Product Management to support product launches, pricing strategies,
lifecycle planning, and promotional campaigns.
• Align with Marketing to strengthen product branding and market presence through events, digital campaigns, and lead-generation initiatives.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure product availability, lead-time reduction, and customer-delivery excellence
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• Strong technical sales acumen
• 5–10+ years of experience in industrial product sales, with preference for pumping systems, fluid-handling equipment, or other engineered technologies.
• Proven ability to drive growth in a territory or national product-sales role.
• Strong technical aptitude, understanding of system design, hydraulics, and application engineering.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications.
•Previous experience in the use of Salesforce.com or other CRM’s is required
• Demonstrated success managing product-focused sales teams.
• Strategic commercial thinking

• Travel requirement at 30- 50%
